Freedom — Poem

Freedom not bondage
House not cage
Health not pains
Comfort not chains

Free to speak
Free to seek
Free to protest
Free to contest

Freedom is free
But it has a fee
You fight for it
You defend it

Freedom has kind
That of the mind
That of the body
That of the money

When crime is done
Freedom is gone
Be law abiding
Freedom is fulfilling

Freedom you possess
Your greatest asset
Please cherish it
Don't ever loose it

              To truly stand out in this life takes a lot more effort; effort which can either be in the positive or negative direction.  It's all left for you to decide which side you want to be on.  If you truly want something so badly, you will definitely do what it take to get it or at least get close enough to it. Also, if you really don't want something at all, you will do all you can to screw things up or to not make meaningful effort at all. Whether you want it at the top or at the bottom, you have to try, work or do a lot more than every other person in your world. We won't talk about mediocrity here because with little effort you can just be a  mediocre. Perspective — our reality

Most things we do in life is dependent on how we view things or how we perceive things, which in turn influences our thinking, then our actions. The man outside thinks that the one inside is unwise for not coming out for fresh air; while the one inside thinks he is stupid for not being inside the air conditioned apartment. A person failed an exam and believed that it's a sign that he/she wasn't meant to be there, while the other failed and believed that it's a sign that he or she needs to do better or be better. Someone posts an article online and got no feedback, the person stops posting because no one care anyway. The other person posts a content and no one responded — he improved on his content and keeps on posting. Because someone's friend failed an interview, the other believed he would not pass and did not apply. But another friend applied because he believes that now that his friend failed, he will learn from his friends mistakes and pass. Three fri...

That wasn't my best school day.

I had washed and hung my only remaining shirt on the line, the previous day. I had three school shirts, two had been stole. I returned to the line, I couldn't find my last shirt. I searched until I started crying. I was in SS1. The next day was Monday. I hid my self when the school bell ranged. When our hall master came to lock the hostel, I took a dry shirt from the line and left for class. I had planned to wash and return it back to the line. I also left with some money for new shirt. I was headed to buy another shirt when the owner of the shirt saw me. "Hey, you! That's my shirt you're putting on," Obi said, before he reached for my throat. "So you're the theif that stole my clothes from the line." I explained to him what happened and begged him to forgive me, but he refused and said he will report me to our form mistress.
